Help Calgary Church Collect Winter Clothing

Posted by on Nov 16, 2011 in Social Justice |

***UPDATED We have an immediate need for a business in the Kensington area, or someone with sewing skills, to help us make minor repairs to clothes. Please contact us if that’s you. ***

This winter there are a number of Calgarians who will lack basic winter clothing. We’re trying to help. Calgary Church, along with the House Coffee Sanctuary, are teaming up to collect gently used or new winter clothing for those in need.

We have acute needs with those who approach or are connected to our community.

Details:

  • The immediate need is winter clothing for adult males. Jackets, socks, mits, etc., are all accepted so long as they are in good condition.
  • We would like everyone to drop off their donations at the House Coffee Sanctuary – 126 10 Street Northwest, Calgary, AB T2N 1V3.
  • Our clothing drive will continue throughout winter so please drop off your donation anytime during store hours.

Any excess clothing will be given to local Calgary organizations with the same goal of keeping our neighbours warm.
