Discussion on Human Trafficking in Calgary and Beyond

In celebration of the conclusion of the National Victims of Crime Week, Calgary Missional Church is proud to sponsor an evening event with Kathryn Bolkovac and ACT Alberta this Sunday.

International speaker and published author Kathryn Bolkovac’s visits Calgary to share her story and insights on human trafficking, whistleblower protection, government accountability, forced prostitution and violence against women. A former US police investigator of 12 years, Kathy served as a human rights investigator for the International Police Task Force (IPTF) in Bosnia. Kathy’s activities in these areas are highlighted in her published work “‘The Whistleblower’, Sex Trafficking, Military Contractors, and One Woman’s Fight for Justice”.

Following, the evening will conclude with a dialogue between Ms. Bolkovac and ACT Alberta on the topic of, “human trafficking, at home and beyond.” Learn more about the impact of human trafficking in our city, and discover ways you can make a difference.
