When part of your ethos as a community is devoted to helping others, it’s good to celebrate your accomplishments. This isn’t to boast to gain recognition, but a chance to say thanks to all those who participated in redeeming though situations.

With this in mind here are three different ways Calgary Church was connected in around our city and around the globe.

1) For those of you with us during the Christmas season you heard about our focus to help some immediate needs in the Kensington community. We partnered with the Sunnyside Community association specifically for ‘overlooked’ needs during xmas. Calgary Church along with King’s Bridge and The House Coffee Sanctuary were able to cover the rent of a struggling single male for the month of January; the community assoc. says thanks!

2) Our Haiti fundraiser is done, although officially you can still give but it may not make it in time to be doubled by the government. Calgary Church and our friends from King’s Bridge raised $320 which will amount to $640. Those funds are being directed through World Vision Canada on their way to Haiti.

3) Another way Calgary Church connects with the mission of God globally is by investing in leaders abroad. We are committed to support FACTEB, a seminary in Boma, Congo. For the year 2009 Calgary Church contributed to the African Leaders program helping students commit to another full year of studies.
